Players assume the role of a Navy pilot nicknamed Hitman with the goal to destroy the evil Russian General Yagov and his fleet.
F-14 Tomcat has a very fast gameplay. Nevertheless, players can achieve very long ball times because there are no drain on a near miss shots except hitting the center targets dead on.
The game has some new features and many other features that came from its predecessors. New features include the Hurricane ramp which is a ramp that circles the whole playfield and acts as the skill shot when the player shoots the ball up the ramp on the right side of the playfield awarding the player 500,000 and adds up and additional 250,000 each time the skill shot is made successfully.
Another new feature is the Juggler in the middle of the playfield that shoots the ball up and then U-turns back down to the Pop bumpers and also acts as the ball lock for multiball. Several other features return from both Comet and Cyclone as well, like the Comet ramp in the middle of the playfield and the Ferris wheel mechanism from Cyclone In which this game has a double Ferris Wheel other than a single one to carry the ball from one ferris wheel to another, then to the ramp and back to the playfield.

Barb Wire Pinball machine is based off the movie of same name, in turn derived from the comic book.. This was Gottlieb’s last pinball machine before closing their doors at the end of the year in 1996. Only 1,000 units were ever produced! The game was designed by Bill Parker with artwork by Constantino and Jeanine Mitchell. Marketing slogans for the machine include: “Go Haywire In This New Pinball From Gottlieb”, “Pinball With Attitude”, and “Don’t Call Me Babe.”
Lost World is the first pinball machine that uses electronic sounds which replaces chimes. It is also the first machine that uses a photographic backglass. The game spawned a sequel – Paragon released in 1979.
The machine features a simple gameplay with the goal of hitting the A-B-C-D-E-F targets repeatedly. The playfield contains very few other feature including three pop bumpers, two kickouts, a captive ball and a spinner.
The backglass depicts a dragon, a warrior and a woman. Designer Paul Faris and his wife were the models for the latter. His daughter was later also the model for the Christine Daaé character on the backglass of the pinball machine The Phantom of the Opera.
Cue Ball Wizard has a two and three ball Multiball and an oscillating captive ball kicker at the upper playfield. Its most noticeable feature, a full-sized captive cue ball that can be used to hit two elevated targets, is placed below on the lower playfield.
The ramp is the game’s most important shot, as it has to be hit once to light it up for the wagon wheel award. In the wagon wheel are all the modes the player must finish to reach Pool Ball Mania.
The playfield includes 2 yellow flippers, a plunger, and 2 signature cross ramps, which is common in early 1990s pinball machines designed by Mark Ritchie. Both ramps can be used to obtain many points, as well as unlock extra balls (once five of those are earned, a bonus score is added per one earned thereafter).
Instead of a typical plunger, the game features an auto plunger shaped like a Ruger Blackhawk .45 caliber pistol that launches the ball into play. The pinball machine features a shaker motor, two captive balls and a crane toy that can pick up the ball and deliver it to another part of the playfield. The game also includes three magnets under the playfield which sends the ball in different directions; similar to The Addams Family.
The main object of the game is to turn the main stoplight from green to yellow to red by hitting the nine stoplight targets. Shooting the ball up the ramp or into the eject hole also spots a stoplight target. Once all nine have been lit, the objective is to shoot the ball up the ramp again, thus “running the red light,” and starting the police chase mode.
To escape the police, the player can either shoot the ball up the ramp again or by lighting all nine stoplight targets again and then shooting the eject hole, starting multi-ball.
Another main feature of the game is the Freeways; one is located in each of the left and right orbits, denoted by spinners. Shooting either one of the two inlanes or making a loop around one of the orbits lights a Freeway, and the player then has 5 seconds to shoot the lit orbit again, scoring the Freeway value, increasing from 25,000 to 100,000 points, and eventually lighting an extra ball.
